The Picnic in the Park program will be the first Sabbath each month from May to October and is sponsored by the WC Social Committee. Picnics will be potluck style, so please bring at least 2 dishes. Paper goods will be supplied. Each park has a covered pavilion so picnics will take place rain or shine.

Directions to the Visitor Center at Purina Farms located just 10 minutes west of Six Flags on Hwy 44. Take the Gray Summit exit #253 and head North on Hwy 100 for 1/2 miles. Take a left and head West on MM for approx. one mile until you reach the Purina Farms entrance on the left-hand side.
Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot along the fenced field for a Tail Gate Lunch at 1:00 PM.... We’ll line up our open car trunks for this pot luck style meal. (Paper goods will be supplied.) Don’t forget a chair or blanket to sit on the lawn to enjoy your lunch.
At 2:00 PM we will visit the hands on displays of the Farm.
Directions to Babler State Park. Take a right on Wild Horse Creek Road turn right on Kehrs Mill Road. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Wild Horse Creek Road. Turn Left onto MO-109 S. Turn right onto Babler Park Drive. Turn right onto Guy Park Drive at entrance to Babler Park.
Remember at October’s picnic to bundle up, with the weather being cooler and then enjoy the extra warmth at one of the four stone fire places.
Directions to Queenie Park. Head East on I-64. Take 141 south to Dutch Mill Drive. Go Left on Dutch Mill Drive to right on Weidman Road. Park will be on your left.
Queenie Park has woods, old fields, four ponds and lakes making it a wildlife oasis. There is a trail to suite everyone ... Queenie has 8 trails to choose from making up over 7 miles of trails in all, both paved and gravel, the shortest is .2 miles and the longest is 4.4 miles long.
Directions to Love Park. Head East on I-64. Take exit 24 for Mason Road. Turn right on Mason Road. Turn left onto MO-100 E (Manchester). Turn right onto Mason Lane. Take Mason Lane to Love Park entrance.
Directions from West County Church: Head East on I-64. Take exit 27 for Spoede Road. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto S Forty Drive. Turn left onto S Spoede Rd. Turn right onto Country View Drive. Beirne Park will be on your right.
Come join this month’s picnic at Beirne Park. Beirne Park was a favorite WC Church picnic location for many years when we were renting from the Des Pere Presbyterian Church. It has a 1⁄2 mile paved walking path and two ponds.

Join the family style picnic in June at Longview Farms where there is a nice asphalt walking path that takes walkers through a wooded area, a pond, pastoral barn, pasture, garden areas around the house and a playground. A great time for fellowship in nature.
